It‘s 5.30 am on a Wednesday morning and just starting to get light outside. I can see it‘s drizzling as I look out of the window, so I grab my storm jacket, jump on the bike and head around the corner to meet the guys. Together, we traverse mist-covered fields and forest. Wearing my zipoff pants was a great idea. The double layer of fabric on the thigh keeps me comfortably snug. Bit by bit, we emerge from the forest and reach the look-out point. We take in the sunrise and tuck in to our packed breakfast. The fog clears with the sun and the day starts to warm up. We need to get going if we want to be at work on time. I quickly zip off my pant legs. The summery working day can begin.
